FAQ
The launch questions users ask first.
This FAQ is written for pre-trust evaluation: what self-custody means, how to test safely, what support can do and how to think about fees and recovery.
Launch FAQ
Questions answered before product trust.
The goal is to reduce avoidable confusion before users rely on the wallet with real value.
What does self-custody mean in WEB4 Wallet?
It means access is created and unlocked locally by you. You are responsible for your recovery phrase, your password hygiene and the device you use.
What assets can I manage today?
The current public build covers BTC, LTC, ETH, Polygon, BNB Chain, Arbitrum, Optimism, Base, Solana, XRP, TRON and TON, plus USDT and USDC on the supported token rails shown on the assets page.
How should I test the wallet before moving serious funds?
Start with a small amount, verify the network, confirm the receiving address twice, review the fee context and make sure you have tested backup and recovery guidance before you rely on the setup.
Does support ever need my seed phrase or password?
No. Never share your seed phrase, private data or password with support, chat rooms, email or screenshots.
Why can the same asset look different across networks?
Stablecoins and tokens such as USDT can exist on more than one network. You must always match the network, address format and fee asset before sending.
How do I track a pending transfer?
Use the transaction identifier or network receipt, confirm you are checking the right chain and wait for the network to include and confirm the transfer. Fee pressure and congestion can change timing.
Need the procedural version of these answers?
Use the step-by-step guides for creation, backup, recovery and fee behavior when you are ready to move from reading into testing.
